On 18th January 2010 Primary Health Lists became a jurisdiction within the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber of the First Tier Tribunal and took over the former role of the Family Health Services Appeal Authority (FHSAA).
Primary Health Lists is under the supervision of the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber President His Honour Judge Phillip Sycamore. Deputy Chamber President Judge John Aitken has direct responsibility for the conduct of this area of the Chamber. There are 12 Tribunal Judges and 24 Specialist members who are all qualified in various areas relevant to the tribunal and 25 members. All panel members have been appointed by the Lord Chancellor most recently following recommendation from the Judicial Appointments Commission, but may in addition be assigned or "ticketed" from other areas of the Tribunal.
